Wheeler's Nashville Bar — Demo
Wheeler’s is our demo for a new Nashville bar that truly encapsulates what it means to be an intrinsic part of the downtown Nashville experience, whether you’re visiting or it’s the place you call home. A bar where it’s always a good time, the fans are always spinning amid the Nashville heat, the cold drinks are always being served, and the music never stops thumping. Your hands will be glued to your phone and your smile will be impossible to contain as you wonder what crazy thing might happen next. Wheeler’s seeks to offer an experience that is hard to compete with, where the entertainment is pushed to be more of an art, not merely an expectation, but where ultimately the customer gets what they’re looking for, and then some.
The mood board features various scenes of Nashville nightlife, with daytime and evening scenes added to the mix. The traditional, Honky Tonk experience of live music, wooden dance floors, neon lights, and cold drinks is what Wheeler’s is all about, where getting up to dance is optional, but the best option! Wheeler’s seeks to put the “big” in big city, where “going big” means going here, because big talk or getting a big head is simply part of the gritty, city attitude, something Wheeler’s gets and understands. Things can get messy and aggressive, and this “bigger” attitude is a mindset for quickly moving past any such incidents. The gratitude for those who do choose to come out to eat, drink, and dance responsibly doesn’t go unappreciated.
The color palette for Wheeler’s seeks to match the moodiness of Nashville nightlife, with a Prussian Blue shade that fits the essence of the midnight atmosphere. We added a few bluish-gray shades to evoke the Southern, urban feel and to lay the groundwork for a cool, darker vibe to the bar, as well as be a nod to denim. The Dusk Blue is exactly as the name implies, and the Molten Orange shade serves as a cornerstone to the palette, reflecting the ambiance of the downtown Nashville neon lights and over the top bar signs that litter the avenues and stand tall everywhere you look.
The final logo design for Wheeler’s accurately captures the country feel a downtown Nashville bar ought to have and is adorned with a star to represent its potential clientele. Wheeler’s is a place where the stars can go for a spin and grab some drinks, and where new stars are able to be born on stage. We were ultimately satisfied with the logo for the purposes of this demo.
